Who I am
Hi, I'm Xinyan!
I am currently an undergraduate at the University of Southern California, pursuing a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with minors in Applied Data Analytics and Cultural Anthropology. My passion lies at the intersection of mathematical theory and real-world application, and I believe that the best solutions come from understanding both the data and the human context behind it.
Currently, I wear two hats: as a Machine Learning Engineer with the USC DataSC Club, where I am building content-based music recommendation engines, and as an Analysis Engineer at the USC Rocket Propulsion Laboratory, where I conduct structural simulations to validate flight hardware.
Whether I am optimizing code in Python or analyzing structural integrity in ANSYS, I am driven by data, efficiency, and the challenge of solving complex problems.
When I’m not in the lab or coding, I’m likely playing piano, or mentoring local students on the basketball court. I am eager to bring my technical skills and collaborative spirit to a forward-thinking team.
I am seeking internship opportunities where I can leverage my skills in machine learning, data analysis, and engineering simulation to make a tangible impact.
